He is currently undergoing his final year of Exercise and Health studies in Waterford Institute of technology and hopes to graduate next January.

Describe your lifestyle:
Describe your diet in a few words:
I would describe my diet as being healthy with one “treat” day a week, normally a Sunday. When I am not training or have my head in the books (thesis time!!)
How do you relax?
I like to listen to music, socialize with friends and play the guitar.
How well do you sleep & for how long?
I normally aim for eight hours of sleep a night which sometimes can be tough especially when I have an early start in college which means I have to be up at around quarter to seven.

On a typical week I train three nights a week with the team, three nights doing gym work and one day off.
It’s a bit different at the moment as I'm out injured so its five nights in the gym.

Where do you buy your main groceries?
Normally my main groceries are bought in Pettitts in Wexford town.
Where do you buy your meat?
I have started buying my meat in the butchers in Clonard. They have recently started providing “gym packs” which contain turkey, chicken and venison. A weeks supply costs 25 beans so I find it a great shout!!

Fresh.

Pettits Supervalu
Where do you buy your vegetables?
Pettits Supervalu
Do you buy food in the local Health Food stores?

What are your favourite restaurants and cafes in Wexford?
Overall Pettitts and Clonard butchers cater for all my needs. My favourite cafes in town would have to be Stable Diet and Cistin eile. If anyone hasn’t tried the chicken Caesar in Cistin eile I would highly recommend it! Quality!!

What do you eat in a typical day?
Breakfast:
For me it’s the hardest meal to get into me during the day as I have to be up fairly early for college.
It normally consists of three boiled eggs on homemade brown bread, with a piece of fruit and tea.
I have finally come around to porridge too, with a hint of honey!

Lunches normally consist of some form of salad with a meat or fish.
I'm a big tuna lover so that’s never too far away from the lunch box!! I try to get it prepared the night before so I don’t snack on lower quality foods in college.
I also normally have a Nature Valley bar (peanut) and a protein shake to wash it all down.
I try to stay clear of too many carbs except before training and in peak season.
