
Who is she?
Theresa Roche is a born and bred Wexford lady who has a Diploma in health fitness and nutrition. She is a qualified Boxercise instructor ,Kickboxing instructor (2nd dan black belt) and Piloxing instructor.
Theresa and her husband have just opened up their own fitness gym on the main street in Wexford town.
There they train adults and kids kickboxing , kickboxercise (ladies only) ,Boxfit bootcamps and personal and group training sessions.
Theresa will be starting piloxing (a mixture of pilates, boxing and dance) in the very near future. She also teaches kids boxercise in the Faythe school one day a week.
They have classes Monday – Thursday evenings for all fitness levels and also a mixed kickboxercise class on Saturday mornings .
The kickboxing club has numerous champions – Irish , European and Intercontinental including Theresa and her husband .

How do you relax?
I watch TV to unwind from classes .
How well do you sleep & how for long?
I try for eight hours sleep but sometimes this doesn’t work as planned , I get a bit hyper after classes.

Yes. I follow the Irish food pyramid diet ; a little bit of everything. I think it's good to eat food in moderation and not limit yourself to what you can eat .

I don’t believe in diets but do the odd detox. I’ve done the juice detox a couple of times , I find it gives me a great energy boost.

Breakfasts:

What is your favourite breakfast? Scrambled egg on brown bread or Readybrek
What is your go-to everyday breakfast? Readybrek because its quick when you're in a hurry.

Do you pre-pack a lunch/ eat it at home/ buy it somewhere? I eat at home when I can but sometimes I don’t have time to come home so I bring it with me or go to my mother's as she lives in Wexford town.
Do you prepare it? or someone else in your house? I make the lunches in my house for myself and my kids . My husband makes his own.

Cereal: Probably 3 times a week & my favourite is Readybrek.
Soup: 3 times a week – Mushroom soup is my favourite.
Fruit: I try to eat fruit everyday and my favourite is strawberries or grapes.
Vegetables: I eat vegetables every day , favourites are broccoli and carrots.
Salads: I don’t eat a lot of salads in the winter but during the summer I would eat 3-4 a week.
Potatoes: 2-3 times a week , I usually chop them up and cook them in the oven with no oil.

Rice/ quinoa: Twice a week and I prefer Basmati
Sandwiches/ wraps/ rolls: 2-3 times per week. My favourite is chicken and cheese.
Sweets/ cakes/ pudding/ chocolate: Once a week on movie night with the kids , my favourite is a Moro bar.
Crisps: Once a week on movie night. My favourite is mini chips but I usually eat popcorn cooked at home.
